In a new interview, former “My Super Ex-Girlfriend” star Anna Faris claims that she felt like she was being “bullied” by screenwriter Ivan Reitman as the actress auditioned for the role of the “ex-girlfriend of the guy who married me.”
Faris, 41, will release a video from the series set, in which she says that she was only cast because she was “one of the only actresses in town who was still alive, who was still in shape, who was still hot.”
Reitman has filed a libel claim against Faris, alleging that she and others have defamed him in a blog post and a video posted in the wake of NBC’s decision to cancel the network’s “My Super Ex-Girlfriend” pilot.
In the video, Faris makes her allegations about Reitman, whom she says was abusive and verbally abusive, including the claim that he threw a laptop at her.
In the post, Faris says she wanted to be the character’s wife, and that the role was an important one to her given the importance of relationships in the pilot.
The video includes a discussion of who the character was before Faris and Reitman cast her, and how the actor felt about the role and the character.
