If Stacey Abrams’ and Beto O’Rourke’s campaigns are going to be held accountable, maybe they need to meet the campaign’s own standards — or find a different job.
While both the Abrams and O’Rourke campaigns have been met with adoration and praise, the reality is, they have failed miserably — with devastating consequences.
Instead of taking accountability for their failed campaigns, both Abrams and O’Rourke’s campaigns are looking to make themselves look good in the wake of their failures — and the consequences of their failures.
The former Georgia gubernatorial candidate, Abrams, appeared Thursday on MSNBC’s Morning Joe. When asked by the hosts about whether or not she would support O’Rourke for president in November’s election, Abrams said: “Listen, we’ve been down this road of campaigning and we’ve said to ourselves that we want to be where we are. We just want to go through our own process. And I’m not going to comment, obviously, on what he is doing in the state of Texas.”

When asked in the same program if she was disappointed that O’Rourke didn’t go all the way with his signature issue, Abrams said: “Listen, I’m disappointed, but what happened in the race? You know what happened. I think what happened is that — and I’d say to people, and this is why I was down in Georgia when I was running for governor, I was down there trying to help the African-American community, the black community, understand what the impact of having a black president.
“There’s a lot of misinformation. You didn’t have a black president, you have a non-black president. I just think that we have to have a leader who’s going to talk about issues that disproportionately impact minorities, that impact the working
