Tory Lanez’s House Arrest Agreement Has Been Extended

Tory Lanez gets house arrest until Megan Thee Stallion assault case goes to trial

Tory Lanez’s house arrest has been extended and he will get to come home on Wednesday, August 23rd.

“Tory will be released in the afternoon on August 23,” his lawyer, Jonathan Pochoda, said in a Facebook post on Sunday.

Lanez entered into a house arrest agreement in Florida in 2018, following a Florida court order barring him from entering the state for five years.

“The agreement has been extended until August 23rd to give Mr. Lanez more time to prepare his defense for the upcoming trial,” Pochoda said. “Mr. Lanez appreciates the significant support from the community and apologizes for not being able to be with his family during this time.”

Pochoda said the house arrest agreement will remain in place until that trial date, as long as Lanez is still in Florida.

“This is not a punishment but a condition of his bond,” Pochoda wrote. “Mr. Lanez will continue to abide by the terms of the agreement.

When asked on Friday if Lanez will ever get out of his house arrest, a family friend with whom he works said “He’s got a lot of paperwork. He’s got to go to court all the time.”

At this point, he’s in Florida until that trial date, which is expected to happen in October.

Lanez was arrested and charged with third-degree assault after an incident at a party with Megan’s mother during her recent trip to Las Vegas.

He was released on $500,000 bond on Sunday and appeared at a court hearing on Monday. His charges also include battery, false imprisonment, and trespassing.

Tory has been dealing with several issues in recent years, including an alleged altercation with his wife Tameka and their unborn child.
