Viewing figures for Dancing With The Stars 2018

The surprise retirements of Chuck Norris and Dapper Laughs from Celebrity Big Brother did not stop viewers from voting for Dapper Laughs to win this year’s Celebrity Strictly Come Dancing!

The comedian’s inclusion in the final 12 attracted a record-breaking 2.4 million viewers, an 11.2% share, for Friday’s live show.

It was the second week in a row when the viewing figures were higher than the broadcast of the weekly live transfer deadline day (25-26 August) with an average 1.8 million watching the programme.

Former Atomic Kitten singer Natasha Hamilton and her partner Brendan Cole won the competition for the first time since 2008 after receiving 37.4% of the vote in the BBC One final.

Meanwhile, Kris Boyson and Ashley Roberts were voted off the show after failing to go straight through to next week’s final.

There was also plenty of support for John and Johannes during the eliminations with many viewers taking to Twitter to voice their disappointment.
